Amidst the Twilight!(Awakening?)

Things were brewing in this small section of twilight town. The darkness had seeped into the city streets as a small raid once again would soon be upon the people. Only a small number of heartless had amassed but even still they were dangerous to the unprepared folks of the town. As slowly the dark army and power of late was building and becoming more and more a annoyance and danger to those who were not careful.

A few of the small gangly creatures moving quickly like rats in the darkness and shadows. Only sticking to where the buildings long shadows gave them paces to hide. Brief glimpses of yellow eyes appearing occasionally then blinking away. Almost appearing as if illusions never really there in the first place. Only soft music played in the air near a small park not far off. The sound of youth and cheer filling the air. A warm day and the fun and hopes spreading about like mystical showing as if all was right in the world. Even with the problems of late the scene casting a vision as if even in these times people could find some joy among one another. As if friendship family and 'love' couldn't be faltered by the darkness of the chaotic current times.

But alas this would not stay the case as the little creatures surrounded the area. Their over sized feet and makeshift armor clanking about as they wobbled nearby and around silently. The longer their beady little yellow eyes looked upon the happiness, Joy, Kindness... Hearing laughter and soft words as well as seeing smiles. It slowly turned their calm into a inner rage that bubbled up like a inferno until it was just about ready to burst from their small dark frames.

A sound would draw the attention of the people as one a little taller made the scene showing the small area had been somewhat surrounded for the moment. The sound of grinding rock to stone streets. The stone like mace dragging behind him as it squealed like nails to chalk board. The creature barely standing four feet tall. An wobbling in a unorthodox and somewhat unbalanced fashion that mood it look like it may stumble and fall at any moment even if it never did. Its clawed hand gripping the mace and heaving it up to rest on his shoulder after a moment. The drug in indention left on the road long and cut in behind him. Their little yellow eyes all amassing on the group that now recognized and realized the sights they had been set in.

It took only a moment before mace was raised to air and like a shot. All the creatures were upon the people. Slashing with claws and a mace smashing down mercilessly. Hungering and filled with a malice fueled by the things they had seen here. The disgusting traits of these humans that mortified and angered them. Wanting nothing more then to crush it out and so far only finding mostly ones to weak to stop them. Only raising their brash ego's and foolish behavior they had already to now be prideful and not just silly. The music box like song of the carousel nearby still playing as well as the carnage began. Giving a strange eerie calm in the air with the tune. As they all raced to destroy the creatures they loathed and hungered for.

The little shadows began their massacre uninterrupted, it seemed as though nothing could stop them, and it very well wouldn't from the lack of any hero cliche showing their face, saying a one liner and attacking... ... But that was the least of their problems.

"Your existence is a brief one...Is it not?" A voice seemed to call out from nothingness, a voice from within the four foot tall heartless's mind...All in an instant, a hooded man in black appeared, firmly placing his hand onto the shoulder of the little shadow, his balance would unexplainably vanish as the man didn't even push, strolling past as his hand moved away.

"You must have so many questions...So much you don't understand, and yet, my words are something you do understand." He was right, even if the heartless lacked the knowledge of full human speech, for some reason, if only for this one moment, he was gifted with the understanding of the hooded man's speech. "You are a being born from the cold death of someone...You seek mindlessly, but if you perservere, you will be able to consume this pitiful world, taking all of it's inhabitants with you. Is that something you desire?"

The hooded man vanished...Only to appear in another place in the next instant. "You and I are not so different, us both born from the darkness in mankind's hearts. I will see to it you understand what you are truly capable of, follow me, if you will..." he began walking down the street out of the park, the heartless would likely feel compelled to follow, a feeling the man planted himself. He did not rouse the suspicion of the other heartless...Almost as if he wasn't even there to them.

His foot wavered briefly from the touch that came after the strange words that drew from the dark void of his mind. Wobbling and nearly stumbling forward to the ground. As if the touch alone had some untold force trapped behind it. Scrambling to its feet and quickly readying its mace once again. As if even to this new thread ready to take on battle and crush and kill its opposition. To find more power to corrupt and feast upon. To grow and feed the never ending malice and pit that grew deep within the creatures spirit where its heart may have once resided.

Thinking on the words the man spoke though staying its monstrous like hands from attacking. It growled towards the man in a sound that seemed to emanate more around it then spewing from its actual lips. Jagged teeth briefly showing from within the shining helmet of the dastardly heartless. "Destroy!... Consume! Consume it all!" Its voice raspy and frantic. As if its was adrenaline fueled or junky like in a shaken youthful voice. Like a distorted sound of a child trying to speak.

The cries of the innocent let out behind him. His mace and one of his claws already stained crimson as those tiny yellow eyes focused upon the back of the dark warrior in his robes. The one that could move as if everywhere yet nowhere. As if he was torn from the pages of ones imaginative fairy tale. Some strange pull unusually in the last few days for the creature pulling him to follow. Up until most things that the heartless had done had been on impulse and fueled by the void it felt in place of a heart and the pain and anger from seeing the people who could feel what it could not. An the scratching past that were like broken images in its head of some past long gone. Taking the first step and before long trailing off behind the cloaked warrior. His movements almost not feeling like his own. The stone mace grinding into the ground behind him as well as he dragged it along the pavement. Crimson digging into the rock like surface as a smile minor dust kicked up from the indent it left. ""What power to consume! What must I persevere! What must do. What this one do!" The eerie corrupted child like voice ringing out yet again. In its attempt at lightly broken youthful speech.

He stopped at a spot overlooking the ocean, the sun setting in the distance, he gave the view no comment or even attention however, he looked down at the heartless. "Yes, this world was born to be consumed by you. Seek out the hearts of the living, devour them and become stronger. You are a child of the dark, this is your one role in existence, much as I exist to seek who I once was."

He appeared behind the Heartless, his dissapearance from the front not even registering. "Do you understand now what you are? On your exterior, primal instinct and hatred speak loudly, but listen. Listen carefully, do you hear that voice within you? It is the voice of a powerful being waiting to be realized. It is you."

He carefully approached the heartless, pointing to a helpless human. "Those are the hearts you must consume, bringing fear and darkness where ever you roam, do not destroy that life, harvest it, take it for your own and grow from it, that is what you must do, young one."

He said nothing more for now, idly watching what would happen next.

The creature listened but it didn't understand all the words. Merely only mildly would it actually understand some of what was said. The hungers in his void where it had no heart any longer. only a symbol burned upon its chest that even shown on the outside of its clothes when it covered its body in its over sized garments. Like a burned in mark to show what he was. Or from the whispers that were apparently something to do with who he was. Who he really was. This only confusing if not angering the creature more that for some reason wasn't able to project anger at the dark hooded man. Only feel calm around him... collected. As if this one was okay. This one was kindred? Perhaps some type of understanding within him towards it? But as  quick as the thought would come it would fade. The creatures mind to much of a vortex or twister of emotions and memories to hold true for too long. If not for the strange power and at the moment even if he didn't understand it influence of this mans words he may not have understood any of it. But darkness befriended Darkness as some of it did stick. An the words fueled his rage.

Hearts? Hearts were the path to reclaiming what was his? To taking it from those that angered him? Was this the key all along? To not just destroy what he hated but consume it! Was this what this great darkness was telling him. Its little body drew in a breath and seemed to twitch. Its body shaking looking upon the people as if they mocked him. As if their ability to hide or escape his pain and malice was a insult. A way for them to try and keep him held down and trapped in this violent corruption he felt deep within his void. Like a hole in his chest that only pained more and more always hungry and always desiring. A sinful pit of gluttony that each time fed only wanted more. An now he knew what to feed it though.

The eyes glowing a fierce intensity of yellow. Taking a few steps forward and heavily huffing in breaths. His little belly growing and growing as he sucked in as much air as he could. Before finally exhaling when he'd run up on the human. His white like razers he had for teeth showing in his little mouth that appeared from almost nothingness on his little black face. A purple miasma leaking from his lips to try and surround the human. A noxious and poisonous gas that would light the bodies nerves up with pain to make them feel like they wanted to scream out. But only find themselves should it actually be enough to kill them. Igniting them in chocked laughter. A way to chock not only their life but also their joy from those putrid hearts! The things that belonged to him now! They had no right to what the heartless needed to be whole! They would not keep these creatures and Jar-... Heartless from his Destiny. "Heart! HEART! HEEEARTTTT!" It'd exclaim in a screech. Hungered and pained. Needing some growth before it could reattain some calm some collection of mind. Perhaps then it would more fit this spirits plans for it. Whatever they may be. As for now like  a mad beast waiting for a treat. It eyed looking for the heart he was told. His mouth watering as he wanted to it eat. To chomp down everything this think if it died. Chomp down everything it was would or ever will be. An it would fuel to end this ones pain and lead to the world being consumed! To consume all! Would leave nothing! An end the void of pain and hunger!

The human was afraid, they struggled as the fumes took effect, trying to fight their way through the pain and attack the heartless, they had to defend themselves! The hooded man just watched the entire spectacle from a distance, not enjoying it, not hating it, merely looking on with indifference, the same look he appeared to give everything, it was strange... Yet he still seemed interested in this little creature, regardless of reason, regardless of what it was, it seemed he wanted only to help it realize it's power, a strange desire, but one that is not unheard of. Of course, it was one the shadow likely wouldn't understand any time soon.

The little creature felt a fist slam hard into its helmeted head and face. The metal spinning around several times before finally stopping. Facing the wrong direction briefly as well requiring the heartless to grip the helmet and dizzily turn once more to face the foe. Its yellow eyes although with no eye brows still found some minor way to show some woozy dizzy expression. It may have been a lightly more tough looking one compared to other heartless but hardly enough to be considered on a higher tier. Still able to be put down or pushed back with enough force.

The creature scowled. Its cheek hurt badly An for now until it could repair or replace it. The helmet had a small dent in the cheek. Angry it had let this pathetic piece of meat and hearts shove it back so. With that and the anger it felt he'd heave up the mace it had at its side. No longer satisfied but the idea of its maniacal gas ending this peons life. Angry and growing more violent. The creature was capable of rare calms but once battle set in and even more so the sting of pain and desired end to emotions it saw. Nothing could sate it now besides the death of what it was after.

He'd heave the mace madly at the warrior. Trying to smash it into the humans gut. If possible try and knock him to the ground. Aiming to smash in the mans stomach and then his head if possible to put a end to this. To find out just how he had to devour these hearts! How he had to become whole! an eventually as the hooded figure said. Devour it all! "Die Die Die!"

The human was ultimately unable to resist the frenzied assault, falling before he could try and block the attack, painfully finished off by the strange dark being, the hooded man not looking away for even a moment as the mace drained the life from this person.

"Impressive...Yes, you will do well to take from them what we deserve. Go forth and keep fighting against them, the more you conquer, the more you will understand. Clarity and wholeness is what you seek, and these pitiful humans have it. Understand well these lessons. Otherwise...

A portal opened ahead of him. "The life that is extinguished will be your own." He seemed prepared to leave, oddly. Going as quickly as he had arrived, as if not but a shadow of this world, and nothing more. Faint memories.

The death was strange and indeed with each kill did it seem some form of power or life,... perhaps hearts were taken from each victim. The cycle of heartless continuing as well raising forces. But this was unknown to the creature whose pained mind pushed it forward in its childish demeanor. To continue its rampage and grow only learning slowly and becoming more itself perhaps in a sense again the more it killed and devoured. It was as if a child perhaps like it was in life. In need of time to grow and be nurtured by the world.

It watched the fellow leave. Its words comforting and appeasing to the strange desire. Something about the hooded man was able to feel related too. A familiar sense of kinship or pack mentality to trust lightly. But there was always the twitch to challenge as well. Resisted though during this encounter while their was easier meals to be taken. Blood poured in the streets as the pack feasted. The humans that chose this street taken out and destroyed. Meals for the heartless that hunted silently in shadows.

Jarvis lifted his mace resting it upon his shoulder and looked around. sniffing the air as with a strange waft of magic some of the blood was pulled into the air and materialized as a stick of ice cream similar in looks to the famous sea salt ice cream sold nearby. But this was red and the color contorted if not twisted in design upon the also formed stick to hold it. The sour bloody taste as the heartless slid it between its lips in its strange mouth in the face hole of its helmet. Enjoying the taste as its mind toyed with where to go from where. An also trying to understand what little he realized was meant by the strange man in black.

[Final post for me since I think that was your exit so I guess this done and ready for my initial power and will power?]
