A Sinner With No Name

The birth of a nobody was a complicated one. As grown as they may be, they did not possess the basic functions one may think they should. Some took nearly a week to start moving.. another to even start talking. Others could get a hold of themselves on their very first day. It was undetermined what influenced the amount of time it took for a Nobody to begin acting as a normal human. Laxamie's very first day was hellish. All she could do was lay in bed and self-loathe. For some reason, she had hated herself. And that had only been the beginning of the negative emotions she had felt. As time went by, these dark thoughts and negative emotions had all but vanished. It took an entire month for Laxamie to regain the basic functions that a normal human would have- though her ability to 'feel', to to say, was still nowhere to be seen.

She more than likely did have emotions, but her ability to express them was nothing to right home about. She just wasn't sure- there were so many emotions out there once you got down to it, but most people had gotten them down before they could even remember. To Laxamie, all these emotions were a new experience. The one she displayed the most was confusion. There would be a time that say, something made her angry. Laxamie would feel the anger, and then realize she had no idea what she was feeling before either replacing that anger entirely with confusion or combining it with it, only making her even more upset.

It would take another entire month for Laxamie to become more mellow.. There was still a lot of growing to do, but at least now she wasn't flipping her lid as often as she did in the time between her first and second month. The World that Never Was was no place for her. Untrained and lacking in any sort of knowledge of the outside worlds, a place like that was full of danger. You had Heartless, other Nobodies with ill-intent, and only Mickey knows what else. Luckily, she kept one thing.. or rather, two things from an old life. Obviously she was unaware of their origins, but she did possess that of a laser sword and a strange looking revolver as a means of self-defense.

Speaking of self-defense..

There were clear sounds of a struggle going on somewhere within the cities surrounding a great castle that was still a great distance away from where this 'struggle' took place. A Shadow had clung onto Laxamie as she raised her arm. The ugly little bastard certainly didn't have any teeth- but he did have claws. Sharp ones. Laxamie shook the disgusting little thing off of her arm and drew her revolver, shooting it with a bolt of flames that would shoot out of the barrel just as a normal bullet would. It wasn't enough to kill the Shadow, but it was more than enough to make it run away. Laxamie would attempt to shoot at it thrice more, missing each and every shot mostly due to bad accuracy. Not to mention the Shadow had melded into the ground and shot away. "Ugh.." Laxamie groaned as she holstered her weapon and put a hand on the new wounds inflicted to her. Deep scratches all on her lower arm near the wrist. 'What even are these things?' She would think to herself as she turned in a direction facing the castle.

It was really the only landmark worth noticing. A great, white castle that towered above the rest of the buildings.. Say for one that was way further off in the distance in another direction. The castle seemed more worth investigating as it was very well-lit.. even from the distance Laxamie was at. All the questions she had running through her mind could perhaps be answered there, and now that she was bleeding there would be no time to waste so she would continue on her way once more.

A cloaked man appeared as if from nothing, before Laxamie could even blink, he brushed against her, seemingly all to get her attention. Heartless. Pestual creatures, ravenous. They attack the heart...Or rather, the lack of one. Seems they scarcely can tell the difference anymore. And yet they are not so far off from us. The one thing seperating the two of us, those shadows, and us Nobodies, are the instincts we live on. They seek one goal mindlessly, we seek answers along with our goals, to become whole once more is our main purpose. One they would perhaps share if they had not fully accepted the darkness as they have."

He turned around after getting a bit of distance, looking at her from behind his hood. "And yet..." He looked down at the ground, remaining silent. "They do not have our curiosity." He seemed enigmatic, where did he come from? Only one thing had he eluded to her about himself - he was a nobody, like her, and he wore the same garb. "You have so many questions, and I have a hundred life times worth of answers, but you'll have to prove to me that you're even worthy of one of those answers."

He put his arms behind his back, going silent for now.

There was a man, now.. In a black coat just like hers. This was either a strange coincidence, an edgy fashion trend, or the black coats held more significance than she thought- she had woken up with the coat on, after all.. No explanation as to how she got it. The new nobody had stopped without thinking much about it as Cyxsur brushed against her. The girl would look up at him, her face just as obscured by shadows as his was. If anything, she was basically a loli version of him. A bit odd, for sure. But Laxamie didn't seem to pay much mind to it- assuming, she could pay mind to much things at all.

"Y..You're like me, then? I'm not the only one?" Laxamie would've looked surprised if not for her facial features being hidden. "A lifetimes worth of answers- how long have you been.. you know, whatever it is we are." Laxamie then had to shake her head. Why would she ask a question when the man just now said she would have to prove herself?

When she was told she would have to prove herself, she started to feel something deep with inside her. It was like.. She understood what he meant, and at the same time accepted it. But why? Or how, rather? No one had ever used such implications towards her. "Prove myself, huh?" Laxamie inquired as she pulled what looked like the handle of a weapon from seemingly nowhere. With how it looked, it seemed more like she had pulled it forth from some dark pocket dimension.

"Show me who, or what I need to fight."

The man grinned, glad to see such eagerness. "Very well, your fight shall be one to remember." His arm outstretched, his sleeve leaving a fast brushing cloth sound as it moved, he pointed off to the side, where suddenly three beings appeared.

Strange Silver Beings. They moved and swayed in an inhuman way. They seemed very dangerous at the same time.

-Three Dusks have appeared! 250 Potential/750 Willpower-

Pressing a button on the metal handle she had pulled from some void, a silver laser blade would extend out from it. Pressing the palm of her hand against the pommel of her laser sword and maintaining a tight grip around the base with her free hand Laxamie would feel her power surge. Taking a deep breath, Laxamie's power would surge out from her causing her coat to fly up like a massive gust of wind had gone passed her from the front. The nobody would shoot forward at blinding speeds, leaving a visible trail of light particles thanks to the surging of her power and the silver color of her weapon.

Moving as a black and white blur, she sliced and diced through two out of the three nobodies until her burst of speed had worn off. For every thrust of her weapon she had shot through the two white creatures, impaling and slicing away leaving the third alone for a moment.

Her strikes were sure, however they only hit for as much as her ability could lend, as such she did not luck out in harming them further.

Dusk number three was not content to sit back and watch, and brought in a strike with it's dagger-like hand.

Laxamie took the blow from the third nobody directly, wincing in pain as she felt it cut through her coat and into her flesh. Tossing her revolver up into the air, the weapon would spin there for a moment as Lax extended a hand and clenched it into a fist before twisting it and pulling it back towards herself. The dusk would be forcefully slammed against the ground and in that split second Lax would release the third dusk from her spell and reach up to catch her revolver just as the Dusk would be bouncing due to the hard impact it would make with the ground, allowing it to spin on her finger before she aimed the weapon and fired a bolt of flames trying to hit it while it was in the air.

[SP 1] Zero Gravity: Black and purple particles surround Laxamie in a small circular radius, slamming opponents against the ground with gravity suddenly increasing before sending them up into the air.
[SP 1] Fire: Laxamie's handgun has the ability to shoot more than bullets. She aims this signature fire arm at a target and fires a bolt of flames.

Though the display Laxamie had made with her revolver was certainly impressive, it did nothing to empower either of her next couple of strikes. Still, she was satisfied by the fire ball exploding against the Dusk's chest with great force.

The dusks were having quite a time trying to keep up with her, even despite it being 1 v 3, she was still more advanced than them, able to think on a higher level. And the advantage was clear, she easily caught the third dusk, dealing heavy damage to it.

The other two backed off for now, just watching her from a distance.

Lunging towards the third dusk, Laxamie would place both hands on the handle of her sword and spin around doing a slash going at an upwards angle before dropping the weapon down and slicing at an angle upwards to the left this time to create a sort of 'X' shape before raising her foot and kicking the dusk hard in it's center. 'They're not very smart, but they're so durable..' She would think to herself as she stepped away to regain her strength for a moment.

Her display was not nearly as skilled as the last, but her intentions were to make the dusk back off for a moment so that she may regain her breath. Even then, these creatures were hardly anything to write home about. "Is this really your best?" She would ask outloud.

The third dusk may not have taken much damage, however, her intentions succeeded in that it threw it off guard and kept it away. ... The other two however, not so lucky.

They both moved in their odd slithery ways, both striking at her with intent to damage her. Their strange hands slicing at her coat, though like her own attacks, they seemed weaker than what they could have been, a saving grace if nothing else.

'This display of strength is inadequate.. I probably seem about as weak as these.. these things.' Laxamie thought to herself as she took the blows directly. They didn't hurt all that badly, though.. It was kinda like she was being attacked with plastic forks. Did she share this sort of supernatural durability with these creatures? Could she perhaps in some way be related to them? "I may not be very strong myself, but I can almost guarantee I am far better than these things- and I'm only going to get better!" The nobody proclaimed, speaking right from the heart she believed she didn't have.

Laxamie drew raw power from within her body. Producing an aura of neither light nor darkness, as she did not yet know how to tap into either. The energy from around her would travel into her blade, making the laser sword grow larger and appear more unstable. The plan would be for her to use her durability to her advantage and charge up an attack that would at least kill one of these strange creatures.

'You know..' The voice of a man would speak inside of Laxamie's mind. A deep male voice that made her shudder. It sounded as if it were speaking to her from inside some deep cave.

'I could give you the power necessary to wipe all three of these creatures out.'

The voice would continue to speak to her, trying to tempt her into doing something she most likely didn't want to do. She furrowed her brow, tightening her grip on the handle of her laser sword and attempting to ignore the voice for now.

"....Hmm." The man watched onward, curious on just what exactly the girl was planning to do with this strategy of hers. Perhaps it was a gambit relying on her toughness, or maybe something else entirely, she did not seem incredibly strong, yet she was also on par with the dusks, certainly he knew whatever she was doing, it had to be a struggle to take down at least one of her opponents. Yet...Something seemed off, as well.

The dusks meanwhile stared on, they swayed back away from her when they witnessed her blades charge up as they did, almost like a feral animal scared by fire.

'Come on, just a little bit. It won't hurt you.' The voice kept attempting to persuade Lax, but the girl knew that something was off. Very, very off. Any other person might have given in provided there was no context, but Lax's mind literally screamed at her to stay away from the voice. It was like she had made the mistake of giving in to it before.. But how could such a thing be possible?

Evidently by letting herself be distracted, a sort of dark energy would mix with the raw power pouring out of Laxamie in the form of dark whisps. Little purple streams mixed in with the mass of white. As she took notice of this, she hardened her resolve and gripped her weapon even tighter letting out a wordless scream has her raw power fluctuated and grew larger making the darkness less apparent. She would try to override the darkness completely, overpowering it with her own energy.

If she could just understand the concept of lights and dark a little better, perhaps she could try to add her light on to the mix. Maybe that would be enough to suppress the darkness the mysterious voice was trying to force upon her.

The man would rub his chin, seemingly contemplating things now that the darkness was seeping out into the open, it was curious, this girl was relatively new as a Nobody, it could not have been possible to put this much power, or at the very least, shouldn't have been possible.

The dusks still hesitant to approach, still did so, all three struck out at her with the same weak attacks.

-Dusks 1, 2 and 3 all are attacking for basic melee! 13 damage each for 39 damage!-

With no light to fight against the darkness, a pain would shoot through Laxamie's chest causing her to gasp loudly. The aura of raw power that surrounded her became entirely dark, and little wisps of dark energy would begin to rise off of her in the form of little things of smoke. "It's.. too strong.." Laxamie would mutter as a dark creature would rise up and out of her shadow. This dark being would let out a low chuckle as even despite Laxamie's position down on her hands and knees, her power would continue to charge. And with the presence of this heartless, it only seemed to grow exponentially. The amount in which it increased could be seen as quite scary.



"Such a virile young girl. The darkness you were hiding within that broken heart of yours was quite impressive. It was no wonder I was immediately drawn to it." The being's mouth did not move, instead it projected its thoughts into the minds of those surrounding him. Bringing its arms up the beast let out a chilling roar as a massive shockwave was unleashed from it. Utterly destroying the three dusks in one fell swoop.

As the dusks dove in to strike Lax, the being now risen from her shadow easily cut them down before they had time to even react. The hooded man however...Stared onwards without expression. "...I knew I felt something odd within you, though I suspected I was merely mistaken." Suddenly a light flashed as a blade shaped like a key, yet entirely made of shadow appeared in his hand, he drew it into a fighting stance, one that seemed rather...Casual.

"I was so prepared to make you fight something...More on your level, though with a power like this, it's clear I need to keep you in check."

-Dusk 1, 2 and 3 have been anihhilated!-

-Cyxsur is prepared for battle! 45k Potential 70k Willpower = 175,000 health-

In response to Cyxsur's challenge, the dark being would chuckle. Like some sort of puppet, Laxamie would be pulled up off of the ground and forced to hang in a sort of T-position. With jerky movements, clearly forced, Laxamie assumed a fighting stance once more. Looking into the nobody's eyes you could clearly tell she was not herself. Her eyes were void of any sort of life, making her look as if she were in some sort of trance. "Big words for an empty husk." Ansem stated with a chuckle. Raising its hands into the air, the heartless would cause the ground around the two fighters to be consumed by darkness. The black circle would quickly expand before forming a dome creating some sort of arena. Fighting in such a place could be disorienting when considering how infinite the darkness around the three seemed.

Afterwards, the guardian would raise his hands and begin to charge a spell between its two clawed hands.

His head lowered as the being spoke and taunted. He sat silently through all of it, even as the world of darkness formed around them both, not even moving an inch, merely observing...

.. Finally he spoke up. "We shall see how much your words mean when you are brought to the floor." He tightened the grip on his blade, surging forward and launching a flurry of attacks at the girl! Despite being so quick, each attack was coordinated, trained, strong.

He finished and lept back, awaiting the being's next move. Staring the girl down as well as the dark creature behind her. It was clear he was prepared to keep going until his opponent had fallen.

-Cyxsur is using [SK2] Deadly Blade Volley for 27k Potential!-

"You will learn to fear the darkness. Through this vessel I shall conquer all worlds." Ansem said in response to the cold confidence the leader of the Nobodies had. As Cyxsur came at the one-sided duo ready to strike out with a flurry of blows, Ansem shot a ball of purple fire right at him hoping to cancel out his attack.

The fireball would connect, but not with any particularly devastating effects. That's not to say it wouldn't succeed in canceling out Cyxsur's attack. And using Laxamie as a puppet, the possessed Nobody would shoot forward at Cyxsur, unleashing her own flurry of blows with heightened speed to counter Cyxsur's.
