Just a Normal Day (Open)

Yuuki awoke in a bit of a panic in her bedroom. The last thing she remembered... She was in this strange dark void, atop a stained glass platform. She was fighting these creatures, and then she was engulfed by the darkness. In short, the girl awoke in a cold sweat, and ready to continue fighting... But then confusion began to settle in as she took in her familiar surroundings. Home. Somehow, she had gotten back here... And this wasn't a trick, right? The air didn't feel so different here, the place didn't sound so lifeless and empty.

Yuuki would turn slightly and begin to climb out of bed, she was taking it slowly at first, not sure if she would end up feeling weaker than usual... But instead, she felt stronger, more capable! So did that mean what happened was real... Or just a dream? "Jeez... Next time you decide to do that, give me a heads up, brain.", she'd state to herself. Still, as much as she tried to rationalize it as being a dream, it just felt too vivid and real to simply be that... And the voice.

She still remembered it, even if it was a dream, could her own mind really come up with something like that? She was skeptical about that. Still, it didn't really do any good to keep thinking on it, she just had to prepare for the day and keep on moving with life. Maybe nothing would be as exciting as her dream, but that was alright. Her goal was still to become the Struggle Champion of Twilight Town! After that, who knows? Maybe she'd follow the advice of that voice, seek out even harsher challenges and overcome them all!

"Gotta give it credit, whoever it was, they know me well!", she'd add with a grin. No use being all glum just because of one odd dream! With that in mind, she'd set out from her room and take a trip to the bathroom, there she'd bathe and change into some fresh clothes for the day. Hmm... It was still pretty quiet in the house, so she must have woken up early. Then again, who could blame her after that? In any case, she'd collect her custom swords and secure them to herself.

"Time to see what everyone is up to in Twilight Town!", the girl stated with another grin, and made her way out the front door! Yuuki had a bit of a reputation for getting into fights, but she wasn't a troublemaker, most people got along pretty well with her. Giving waves as she passed, sometimes she'd stop to chat with them... That is, most people. There was always that one group of people that proved to be annoying. And in Yuuki's case, that was none other than... "So, the lamer has shown up again."

Seifer and his crew. They were the self appointed disciplinary committee. In it were Fuu and Rai. Fuu wasn't much of a talker, and in Yuuki's honest opinion... Kinda cute! But her personality, small and brief as her words were, still sunk through. And Rai... Well, he was Rai. Y'know? So the only one that was tolerable in this group was Vivi, frankly she didn't know why he hung out with them. They weren't exactly nice to the poor kid. But worst of them all, and of course the head of the committee...

Seifer. Yuuki was convinced he had taken one too many struggle bats to the head, as he really wasn't as tough as he liked to act. "Yeah, you have... So why are you bothering me again? Need me to beat you into the dirt like last time? If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were masochistic!", Yuuki would taunt with another of her signature grins. "What did you say?!", Seifer would respond, visibly and audibly angered by her words. Yuuki proceeded to let out a small laugh.

She'd then turn to properly face them. "Alright. Ready the Struggle Bats, it's time for us to settle this.", she'd add. Sure enough, they all still had their Struggle Bats with them... Fuu would approach with one extra, handing it to Yuuki. She had to give them one thing, they at least knew how to play fair. Yuuki would proceed to stretch a bit, then easing herself into a stance. "Tell you what, instead of using two like I usually do... I'll just use one."

Yuuki then commented as she continued grinning. "Maybe you'll actually be able to keep up with me if I do that!", with that. Their streetfight had begun! Seifer making the first blow with a charging attack, but Yuuki deftly blocked it with her own bat. She'd then follow up with a blow of her own, knocking the wind out of Seifer and also causing him to back off a bit! Yuuki would extend her arms outwards, taunting him again. This was going to escalate so fast, and she reveled in it.

Usually what happened was, Seifer wouldn't be able to keep up in a duel... So Fuu and Rai would help out, and she'd end up fighting all three of them off. It was shaping up to be another normal day for Yuuki! She wouldn't have it any other way, she needed something a bit more normal after that weird dream. On that note, Seifer finally got his bearings back, and would begin to float up into the air. "Isn't this ROMANTIC?!", he'd shout as he'd then shoot straight towards Yuuki.

The girl would nimbly step to the side in order to evade his amazingly telegraphed attack, and then smack him in the back with her bat.... Damn, was she getting stronger? Because that was enough to knock him onto the ground! Just about then, Fuu and Rai would ready their own bats and rush into the fray to help Seifer! "I don't think ya'll want any of this!", Yuuki would taunt with another laugh as she began to outmaneuver the two. Soon enough, Seifer had gotten back up and readied his weapon again.

The three of them then decided to strike in unison. What did Yuuki decide to do? Block each attack at once! They tried to overpower her... But she was holding strong on her feet! "Oooh, I've been getting a lot better recently, you're gonna need to try harder than that!", she'd comment, impressed with her progress... But there was still so much more for her to make. She'd need to do even better to become a Struggle Champion, and to realize her life goal of becoming a famous adventurer...

Yeah, she'd need to do something even more crazy, like overpowering three people at once! "HAHH!!", she'd shout as she used all of her might at once to throw them off balance. She'd take a few breaths, recollecting her strength. That definitely wasn't easy... But she loved showing off. It just wasn't fun unless you gave the crowd a good show! And as always, there was a crowd that had gathered to watch this battle. It never escalated far enough to anyone actually getting INJURED, but even so.

"Heheheh... C'mon, don't tell me you're getting tired already!", she'd make another comment. This feeling coursing through her body... It was like when she was fighting those strange creatures, that power. It felt amazing to finally make use of it! These poor saps didn't stand a chance now! Yuuki felt a little bad beating on them like this, but... Hey, they always made it a point to start these fights because they liked to act all big and bad. She'd show them that wasn't the case! It was her town just as much as it was theirs!

Seifer, Fuu and Rai would back off a bit, regrouping in order to better deal with Yuuki's newfound skill. That... Was actually a pretty new sight, sure, she'd given them a pretty good beating before, but she's never actually made them back off like this. It offered a slight pause in their fight, Yuuki saw no reason to rush back into the fray, she could control the pace of the fight even though she was outnumbered! Despite the drop in action, the gathered crowd was just as excited as always to keep watching.

She silently wondered... How many people were keeping watch of this right now?

Where there was laughter and excitement of these little squabbles and battles. There was often loud rooting and sounds as well. People as long as things didn't get out of hand letting out the call of favor to one side or another as the excitement unfolded around them.The families of some as the fellow youth as well enjoyed to see their peers have at one another. Siefer and his gang were well known after all 'ya know'. An the more that gathered the more of all ages there would be.

The laughter... The Cheers. It was enough to make one want to dig out the sensation it gave out of ones skull with ones nails. The little creature shifting and turning hiding in one of the nearby apartments. The window open and giving a decent view and sadly also the perfect place to HEAR the loud sickening sounds from bellow. Little yellow eyes and dark jagged teeth scowling from within the metal helmet and violet armored suit that housed the small ghoul. Its protection being a little worn from recent use however and at the moment more a thing of crimson stained leather in looks then violet. The apartment much the same. The little creature hopping up to the window seal to look out at the sounds. Its resting pushed to a angered inward rage boiling under its skin if it truly had skin that was.

It fell once however back into the apartment. Smashing into the tilted over cradle on the ground. As well as in the rubble tumbling back several spins before hitting the fleshy remnants of the prior residence in this place. A place of rest it had needed after its encounter with the man in the hood that spoke so strangely to him. Although most that interaction was forgotten. But at least some of it stuck to mind. It clambered to its feet. again a bit more stained and smelling like a butcher shop. A little angered though inwardly as its elbow and side stung lightly from the fall. An be damned the laughter and cheer echoing in from outside. Still plaguing his mind and temper. The little being standing hardly tall at all short but far more powerful then they looked.

It would reach out grabbing its mace that seemed to just pop into existence next to him. As well as something else. Something fluffy that connected to the only 'living' thing that still resided in this little place of residence. He'd leap to the window in a massive jump as a loud screech was echoed through the air. Leaping not on the edge of it as it left the horrid scene behind. The first person to look back and see the strange clothed creature with yellow eyes appaering through the Helmets opening would be blinded for a moment as the blood staining its clothes dripped in the mans eyes. A strong 'thwack' coupled with a 'crack' made. AS the furry thing was revealed to be a cats tail as was the location of the screech. The cat being used in a sense as a swinging weapon given the mace was only good for smashing and smooshing! The cat though was a little less lively after being used to quite physically knock out the adult in the crowd. It had become more limp in the creatures hand after the first attack and smashing intot he side of the mans head. Screaming would begin as well as now the creatures giggled eerily as it would proceed to smash time and time again the fellow he'd knocked down with his silver mace several times. Reveling in the fact at least for the moment the painful sounds of real laughter and cheer of the crowd had been replaced with the soothing screams and agony of the man he attempted to destroy into goo. in moments after it would appear as well before likely the crowd would fully disperse the appearing heart that would hover over the damned would be quite literally feasted upon. Taken into the body rather then taken in other ways.

The strange feeling of devouring hearts leading to a rather child like victory dance swinging the possible now deceased cat above his head in circles while still clinging to the tail.

It was just another case of fun fighting. At the end of the day, Seifer didn't actually run a gang, this wasn't a life or death situation, and they weren't even bats that could actually hurt someone. It was all safe, and mostly hot air being blown around. Most people knew this, and that was why the adults never broke it up; why do that when Struggling was a safe way to resolve most dilemmas? It was to such a point that they made entire tournaments around the very idea of it. It was a friendly rivalry.

Nothing more, nothing less. But all of that could be so easily changed, and that was exactly what happened. In an instant, a window broke overhead. Yuuki, Seifer, as well as Fuu and Rai all froze up as an otherworldly screech sounded off. It was enough to render the entire crowd silent. And then it appeared. Just like the things that Yuuki saw in her dream... She immediately sprung into action, flinging her Struggle Bat at it before turning her attention to Seifer and the others. "Get everyone out of here now, I'll take care of this!", she ordered in a forceful tone of voice.

Understanding the urgency of the situation, Seifer and his crew would begin to round up the now panicked crowd and then make sure they'd get away safely. Meanwhile, Yuuki would begin walking towards the small armored creature. "You know... I was thinking it would be a quiet day like usual.", she'd state, drawing a black blade from it's sheath with her right hand. "That everything I saw experienced earlier was just one weird dream.", she continues, drawing a green blade next.

With that, she'd ease into stance. "But I see now that it was meant to prepare me for this. So try picking on someone your own size!", she'd shout, hopefully all of it's attention would now be devoted to her while the others escaped. If nothing else, she was the most powerful here by far... And judging from what she could sense, this thing was about as strong as that huge beast she fought in her dream, maybe even stronger. And she was facing it alone.

But she wasn't afraid, if it meant saving everyone else, she was ready to take that risk! "Little monster... I don't think you're prepared for just how much I'm gonna class this place up now!", she'd add with a grin. The Struggle Bat she flung at him earlier either not doing very much damage, or nothing at all as he could easily block it or move out of the way. It was purely to get his attention. And now? Well, no reason to act like she didn't have it.

"LET'S DANCE!", she'd finish with another signature grin. This thing... It smelled terrible, it'd obviously made a habit out of killing before, and it took immense pleasure out of doing it, it was a danger to her entire home! Not on her goddamn watch was it going to rampage as it pleased! So much for having a fun fight... Now it really was a life or death situation, and something definitely told her that this thing would not go down as easily as that huge beast she fought earlier.

The only saving grace was... She was stronger now too. With that in mind, she just had to steel herself for what was about to happen! There's no way she was going to die now, not after everything she's been through, and still so much more to do! She'd need to fight carefully... No more wild tricks like in her previous fight, just do enough damage to deal with her enemy, and conserve her strength so that she won't be in such a bad spot as it goes on. She really needed to be careful...

That voice wasn't here to back her up now. But she wasn't going to run, how could she really call herself a Champion if she did that? So that was that, then... It was a promise not to run away, and a promise that Riyya wouldn't find her corpse here. It was grim to consider that outcome, but that was reality, and she was having to face it for the very first time. This thing was merciless, too. It wasn't going to stop even if she asked it to, not that she'd even try reasoning with it in the first place.

Maybe she was going to skip a step from being a Struggle Champion, to being a Darkness Slayer! Hmm... That name didn't sound quite right, what were these things called anyway? Well, no time to focus on that. Yuuki would lightly twirl her blades, the metal singing through the air as she watched the creature carefully. It was difficult to gauge... Other than the obvious. It seemed so unpredictable, to boot... At least Seifer and his crew had some sense, everyone ran passed her, rather than in random directions. Even if it wanted to get at the crowd.

It would have to go through her, first! As much as she didn't want to count the small blessings and dark possibilities, maybe she could at least tire it out, so if it did go on the hunt, someone else could finish it off. Yuuki knew exactly what meant for her if that situation happened... So there was only one option, in her mind. Fight and win! At least it still broke down to be as simple as she was used to, in the end. Just instead of bullies, she was fighting monsters now.

It hadn't really heard or acknowledged at first the crowd running just pleased the sounds of chuckling and glee had ceased. It had been beating hte dead man before it for several moments occasionally with the mace crushing the body and sometimes with the body of the deceased cat that was at the moment little more then pulpy furry meat attached to the handle that was the tail. He did hear something though. Some angry words and some challenge maybe. But when he looked up with those glowing eyes he was met with blue then a flash of white. Something soft but still a little painful hitting him in the head. It was more annoying then actually pain filled in contact and the flash was bright but met with darkness a moment after. Swinging his mace left and right wildly in the air at the darkness trying to break through it to get the light back.

But you see the reason the lights were effectively gone. Was the bat had whacked at a angle into its helmet. The helmet then had in the blinding flash from the concussive impact of soft foam. Sent the helmet spinning several times around the creatures head before finally stopping reversed how it should have been worn. It begin at this point only hearing muffled words and possible the sound of a blade slicing through air. running around in circles before clumsily tripping over the foam bat at its feet now. Landing with a clank and clamor of metal clangs on the ground. The tiny armored figure barely four feet tall at best. It rose to its feet swinging the cat in the air and stamping its rather large cartoony pointed shoes several times. Letting out a growl and sets of whimpers and angered whines finally letting the way it sounded be heard. It could in a sense feel this girl. The one that stood or had angered him and dared to do this to him! Surely this is exactly what it meant to do as well! To joke and tease and ruin the fun by taking away the lights. Before he'd fix his helmet he'd rather blindly going of feeling alone swing the cat with so much might he'd send it spinning at the girl. A few fluids and muscles now revealed as it was little more then pulp held in a furry bag. Letting it fly directly towards the girl with a mass of power behind it.

The second after it would leave his hand he'd nearly fall over though from swinging it so wildly his footing had momentarily taken him off balance in his footing. But he quickly stumbled back the opposite way to comically throw his footing back into alignment and with a jerk of his now free hand the other occupied with the mace. He'd grip the back or more so the front of his helmet and with a twist turn it back around so the little glowing eyes could once again fixate upon the strange girl. the crowd now for the most part seemingly gone. Aside from the final few still making their way past the strange sight. A few froze momentarily but were quick to flee once its eyes could see them again.

With a moment to look down at what he'd tripped over he'd with his free hand reach down and scoop up the blue bat in his hand. now wielding a mace and a powerful soft thing made of a substance it could only seem to identify as squish.It stamped its foot again sevaral times then tried to take a step forward at the female. But its foot with a heavy thud as it intended to stomp towards her to look rather menacing. Of course being four feet tall and in armor that wasn't really as terrifying as he believed it was. Likely just looked more comically cute then terrifying. However the fact the smashing foot crushed into the chest cavity of the man whose magical heart he'd devoured moments earlier kinda killed the whole cute part. But all wasn't lost just yet.

It seemed to find this irritating. Quite literally a little aggravation mark like that of toons would appear at the side of its forehead. And with a poof of magical energy the body would in a instant be nothing but clothes and mesh the foot now free if not a darker color of crimson however. And raining down around them would be blood red ice-cream bars.  Looking like that of the sea salt most famous in this region. But red and the taste of blood-sour. The heartless holding its mouth open to the sky and seemingly swallowing several of them as they fell like a cold rain of frozen horror delights. Seemingly forgetting about the girl all together for a moment. foam bat and mace though still in hand as it just stood there with mouth open to the sky swallowing the bars stick and all as they fell. Many rained all over however so the girl may have had a cold delight herself if she wasn't careful.

At first, the little creature didn't even seem to acknowledge her presence, that is until it turned just in time to see the bat thrown at it's head, and humorously it managed to spin it's helmet around several times, until it was left on the wrong way. So... At least this thing didn't seem very well coordinated, as it then struggled in vain, not understand just what had happened to it. Most of the time, it's mace was swung so wildly that it didn't even come close to the general direction of the girl.

Still, for safety, she kept her distance from the little being. Finally the creature would trip on the bat and fall to the ground, but it would soon rise and begin to stomp the ground repeatedly, angered by what had taken place. Yuuki might have laughed a little, if not for the fact that the armored figure then began to swing the now dead cat with purpose, and then swung it towards her with such force that it merely let the bloody pulp fly free towards her. She'd nimbly step to the side as the carcass neared her.

Thankfully, she wouldn't need to have all of that splattered on her... The armored being would nearly topple over once more, but managed to regather it's balance and finally twist it's helmet back on the right way. After that it would scoop up the Struggle Bat with it's free hand and after that, stomp towards her in an attempt to intimidate her... Appearance wise, it didn't look that threatening, but she could see it's true nature. This thing was even more dangerous than the Darkside she had fought earlier... And that thing was rather strong indeed!

As much as her eyes wanted to tell her that this thing wasn't a threat, she knew very well just how much of a true foe she was facing right now. It seemed to be very annoyed with what happened, but the girl only grinned in response to that. "What's the matter, don't like playing with people that can fight back? I guess that wouldn't be as fun.", she'd taunt. Yes, making this thing more angry was a very smart idea... Sarcasm aside, it could potentially make a mistake.

Then something shocking would happen. The body would literally disappear and... Like a scene out of a horror movie, or a sociopath's wet dream, blood red ice cream began to rain down. And the creature she was facing? It was all too happy to gobble the treats up with delight. She... Found it more than a little disgusting. Yuuki would need to be mindful not to be hit by any of those, and she definitely didn't even play with the idea of tasting one of them. If it was something that thing enjoyed, it was definitely not healthy for Humans.

On the other hand, it seemed distracted now. So maybe this was the perfect time to punish it... It wasn't able to hit her, and now she was going to teach it a lesson for making the deadly mistake of turning away from it's opponent! The girl would charge towards the armored being with purpose, with her black blade, she would strike with as much of her strength as she could muster! Carrying through with the momentum would mean that she spins around, then bringing up her other blade as she faces the creature again.

She points the tip towards the armored being and a bolt of lightning then strikes down at the shadowy soldier. The combined might of these attacks were fearsome indeed, and she was hoping that by taking it by surprise like this, she'd really be able to lay the hurt on it! Maybe it'd be convinced it was time to run away... "Enough of this game! I'm going to make you pay for every life you've taken!", she'd shout with anger in her tone of voice. She'd still need to be careful...

This thing didn't seem to have much defense, but offensively it outclassed her, and she couldn't tell entirely what it was capable of. There were so many unknowns in this fight, but she still had to try! Yuuki would step back a bit as she'd bring her blades back into proper bearing. She had to pace herself, never lose her focus for even a second! She definitely wouldn't be coming out of this unscathed, but as long as she wasn't an idiot... She wouldn't die, right? Yuuki would tighten her grip on each sword.

The feeling of the hilts in her hands did wonders to reassure her. She couldn't lose heart now, if she became afraid, then she'd definitely lose for sure! The only way to get through this was to keep her courage, just like before... The only way out was through! It didn't matter if an army of the bastards appear, she'd fight as many of them as it takes just to make things in her town safe again! She didn't even know where they were coming from, or why they were doing all this!

The only thing Yuuki did know was that she needed to put a stop to it! If she didn't... Something terrible could happen to Riyya. She wasn't going to let that happen! Her little sister wasn't a fighter, that was her job! Just like that, her morale would begin to skyrocket as she convinced herself that this fight was for Riyya's safety. With another grin, she'd speak once more. "Come on then! I know you're probably mad, so what are you gonna do about it?!", she'd shout at the little being.

Time to find out what it would do!

This was rather pleasant. The chewing sensation of sweet cold treats seemed to be a enjoyable sensation that even sent a chilling bit of air under his helmet that was relaxing truly in its own way. But it did feel the girl coming in rather fast. He looked down and immediately slammed his head forward into the blade that swung at him. A loud ringing out clang echoing in his helmet as the blunt force was held back towards the blade that aimed to slice him. It still hurt and made his helmet and head ache as if the helmet was a ringing bell around his dark skull. He walked several paces away from her a little uncoordinated as his whole body seemed to shake from the helmet like a bell making his whole body tremble from the sensation of the deep bass rocking through its body from his head. In fact a literal ring had been sent out as well that was rather loud. The pop of its senses as well had shot all the red ice cream to literally snap in puffs of clouds. Becoming sea-salt on sticks now laying on the ground. Some of it already melting as well though given the warm climate. The head rush making its focus seem to missalign what it was meaning to do.

But he'd still been trembling from the shaking in his body from the tone still ringing in his ears that had prior shake his head to his core. It was a strange thing to for the moment know what it was like to be a ringing church bell in a bell tower. But who knows! Maybe such info would one day prove life saving! But the lightning bolt that came at him shortly after wasn't really much something that scared him nor did the words. Before she even finished talking he had ran for her. Straight for her in a mad rush like a bull perhaps. He'd literally seemed to smash his head through the lightning as flashing light scorched and shot off his head wear shooting out in several direction as if he were a repellent or reverse lightning rod. Trying too leap forward at her and send the top of his head into her jaw if possible as he tried to rip right through the lightning. The tiny creature though seeing double as he did. Part of his mind just as he jumped trying to attack both (just one) Yuuki at the same time.

Rather he hit or not he'd either bounce in a flip over her head if he hit her or continue running if somehow she continued to avoid it somehow in the battle. Regardless he'd be running in the opposite direction behind her once he'd made his way passed. An with a jump and a flip after running several feet behind her in his own little clumsy way that oddly seemed to work. Even if it was more of a skip and a hop way of movement. Jumping into the air then with a smash crashing into the top of a wooden box nearby. The back of one of the shops had some supplies still out and about left to the side when the fight started and now abandoned since people ran to hide given the extreme fighting that could also be deadly shot up so soon after. The box was large but not too large. But one barely standing for feet tall and rather small of being fit perfectly on his rump inside. Somehow convinced he was in the perfect hiding spot as he now sat in the center of some. while smashed most whole little packs of chocolate s'mores like candy bars. Perhaps the shop near by a sweet shop. The creature would begin eating within the box as it was clearly out of sight and outsmarted the woman! He was too sneak for his own good clearly! Knowing nothing could be more safe then a box with a smashed top. Of course his helmet did stick out a few inches. But he at the moment was too distracted now eating the chocolate s'more goodness and tossing wrappers out of the top of the box. Once again forgetting entirely he was in a fight.

His body now a mixture of blood stains on his armor suit mixed with chocolate and marshmallows as well. A little scorch mark on his helmet as well. From where he'd forced through her attack before taking the tumble and leap into his most perfect of hiding spots. Hohoho! No one would expect this. Even if of course his running had likely given her plenty of time to actually see him jump in it. An with the top of his helmet sticking out he wasn't really all that well hidden. An the wrapprs flying out of the top of the box from time to time didn't really help either.

This thing... It really was crazy, instead of trying to dodge her attack, or even properly block it, it just headbutted her blade! She could only assume that because of it's helmet, it managed to survive such a dangerous blow... Still, it was left momentarily stunned from the attack, so then the lightning should handle it rather nicely! ...That's what she thought at first, but in actuality, the crazy little armored being just soldiered through all the pain and charged straight at her! As her spell went off, hoping to impede his charge a little, he headbutted AGAIN.

And somehow, he overpowered her Thunder! How the hell was this thing so strong?! She had little time to think on that, as it was heading on a crash course for her jaw, and what an impact it made! The girl couldn't help but stumble back a bit... Afterwards, she'd spit out a bit of blood. "Not bad.", she admitted. Few were crazy enough to actually try and overpower magic as directly as that thing just did, if it weren't such a monstrous foe, she'd be very impressed with the target in question.

...Speaking of that, where the hell did it go? Did it seriously just keep on running after hitting her like that? She'd turn just in time to see it jumping, hopping and skipping it's way to what it believed to be the perfect hiding place, a box! If... She hadn't been paying so much attention, it might have worked? But then, his helmet was still sticking out of the top, too. The girl would quietly approach, readying her blades as she did... If this thing was really going to be that silly about the battle...

Well, she was going to take every advantage she could get. The girl could hear more rather disgusting sounds as she approached... Apparently it managed to find a few snacks. Hopefully they weren't something really disgusting, like raw meat... Though, given what it was eating earlier, she knew that was a very distinct possibility. Given that it smelled like a walking butcher shop, there was no way to tell either. Still, she'd managed to close the distance in what she believed was a very sneaky way of doing so, and then she'd raise her swords... And slash them both at the box!

The wooden sanctuary would be annihilated by her weaponry, and threaten to crash into the little soldier soon after! "GOTCHA BITCH!!", she'd shout in as threatening of a voice she could manage... Somewhere along the way, this really did become a twisted game. Yuuki wondered if she was starting to lose it a little.... Not her fault this thing did stuff she's never seen before, though. Giving it a scare would make it think twice about doing any of that, she thought! Of course, there was no way to know if that really was the case.

After possibly giving the creature the fright of it's life, Yuuki would give another grin and proceed to roll backwards, hopefully out of it's retaliation range. She wore herself out physically with that dual bladed attack... But on the other hand, she was topped off on her magic now... And rather thankfully, what he was eating wasn't anything as horrific as she expected! He was just munching away on candy. Honestly, if it just made a habit of doing things like this, rather than kill people and animals...

Well, there was no use in what ifs. This thing was her enemy, and it wasn't going to be changing, that was just something she had to accept, and resolve herself to fighting it until either it stopped, or truly ran away! If she scared it out of Twilight Town, that would be fine too. She'd begin lightly twirling her blades again, the metal singing through the air just as before. Yuuki was rather proud of that surprise attack... Honestly, this was the most exciting fight she's ever had. Certainly far more than she's ever had with Seifer and his gang.

Even the Struggle Tournaments didn't compare to this! It was just a certain... Rush to things. Still, she reminded herself to be careful not to lose herself in that type of feeling. It was a dark path, and as much fun could be had here, she needed to keep in mind what was REALLY important, keeping everyone safe... So no more playing around in this battle, right! She could do that! But no one said that Yuuki couldn't class the place up, either! She was still gonna do exactly that, and this thing wouldn't stop her!

The armored being... Did it even understand words? It definitely seemed to have emotions, and wants other than just 'kill everything'. At times it was very much like an animal, and other times, very distinctly Human. It was almost surreal to witness out of something that looked so... Off. At least she knew now that she wasn't AS bad off as she first thought. She could do this! Yuuki could get out of this battle alive, she just had to play her cards right! That'd be kinda difficult, considering just how much stronger it is than her...

But hey, if she ran away from every difficult fight, she'd never get any stronger. No, she'd just have to stay the course as always! Just... Hopefully, Riyya would make it in time to patch her up like always. She might really need it this time... Yuuki hated putting her little sister into that type of position, but it just couldn't be helped, she'd need to use all of her abilities against her opponent, and that left little for her to heal with! She had to press on the offensive, at that.

Single blows would be easily stopped by sheer strength this thing packed in it's tiny frame.

Things were going well as it was eight snacks in. The wrapper mounds on either side of the boxes exterior beginning to build in size. The wrappers giving off the sweet scent of chocolate and marshmallows. It was a rather pricey type of candy bar at that as well. So probably for one with a sweet tooth or one with a mind of this little creature that of a feast. It didn't even notice when the woman had approached. He stopped and turned though at the last moment before she struck with the blades. As his yellow eyes blinked a couple times and his chewing went from rabid and fast to slow as if realizing what was about to happen and the only reaction it had at the moment was just a slow chewing.

It then threw its arms out to the sides as the blades came down letting out a loud screech. The echo in its voice almost ghostly or ghoul like. As if overlayed between the sound of some dark animal beast and a small child crying out in unison. The first strike clanged along his helmet and body suit. The momentum lightly slowed and seemingly weakened even if the second hit rather harder slashing into him as well sending him back several paces. It laid on its back quivering for several moments the battle perhaps done for the moment. Its armor dinged from the first slash on its head and the second had slashed open its chest on the heartless emblem symbol on its clothes. A bit of black ooze spilled out from the wound as well as some dark mist. Miasmic like corrupted air in sensation. The creature jerking up though sitting up after a few moments. As if snapping awake and sitting straight up with legs outstretched as one hand supported it to sit up and it looked forward at her with cold yellow eyes in its stare.

It looked at its hand too an the black ooze that welled from its chest thick like blood but a bit thicker in some ways. It was like oil or sludge perhaps. It stood to its feet and looked at her and the wound again. Almost as if it was in silent contemplation. A strange thick feeling in the air and tension likely building for several moments. As it seemed look around and focus on her and just be in contemplation of the ooze. Before finally it happened.

It rubbed its chest with now both hands a clang as it dropped its weapons the bat hitting the ground but the mace itself poofed from existence after hitting the ground. And then under the helmet its eyes slanted in a sad demeanor. An it began to wail out in a cry that sounded like a ghoul and child crying together in unison. Tears of dark water like fluid spewing from its eyes in rather large welling streams. Leaking from its helmet and the ground bellow. It seemed the wound had hurt and rather badly at that. Now standing it clutched the wound with both hands. Drawing in breaths after a few moments as well. Much like a child crying so hard it lost the ability to breathe properly. Gasping randomly in that haunting way it had of speaking.

It coughed out and was in pain but the creature didn't NEED to breathe. an after a few moments it began gasping harder and suddenly its body seemed to get a little larger just barely noticeable in size. Its blackened face under the armor slowly began to turn a slightly dark violet. A purple aura building around him as well as a light mist and idle power caste off him as well from light leaks of power. A miasma of poison in some sense. It wailed out in tears saddened and angry. Its focus on her but the power that was building was preparing for something more outward. Its pain and childish sensations the equivalent of a beasts tantrum. Letting its power grow within it as with each inward breath it drew in more air. Planning to flood the streets and nearby homes with this dark power. Gasping and crying as it had clearly been harmed and unless calmed would spell doom for countless people and animals as well as toons roaming the town.

It cried like a pained child and the wail while a dark howling also gave the feeling sound of a hurt small kid. Pained or crying in a sense to draw in its parents or protectors. Wiping its eyes as it just breathed in more and more power more and more mist. A likely light headed filling before long beginning to take over the nearby area as a preparing effect.

Yuuki's attacks hit their mark, even though the creature tried to stop the blades from giving it further injury... But then it let out that otherworldly screeching and wailing. It sounded so much like a child, but also like a beast of sorts. This... This was going so much worse than the girl expected it to, and now an overwhelming sense of foreboding hung in the air. Something really terrible was about to happen. The tiny armored being would cast it's weapons aside, and it only continued that strange screaming as it did so. She'd really managed to upset it this time.

All of the sludge that was dripping off of it now... It was hurt pretty badly, too. The creature was even crying, just... What was this? It was definitely no wild animal, but things were about to go from bad, to worse. It began to draw upon a dark power, and this power was something very tangible that she could feel, it would flood out into the streets, and place several lives at risk... Damn it, she had to stop this from happening somehow! If she could just knock the thing out, that'd be enough!

"Little shit, can't beat me so you have to take out everything around you?!", she'd shout angrily, and then sheath her blades. In each hand, she'd gather bolts of lightning. She'd thrust one hand forward, sending a bolt of lightning crashing towards the armored being! Then, she'd withdraw that hand and thrust the other one towards the creature, unleashing yet another bolt of lightning! She had to take it down as fast as she could in order to stop this thing from hurting everyone! There was no other choice!

It certainly wasn't going to listen to anything she had to say, that was even accounting for the possibility that it understood her words! This was all just some sick joke, right? She wasn't actually going to lose her home, and everyone she cared about... She'd be able to stop this thing from having it's way, right?! No matter how much Yuuki repeated that in her head... Things just looked terrible right now. Damn it, she didn't even know how to use magic in order to contain it to just herself! Unless...

She could take all of that energy directly, was that an option? She didn't know, but either way, that thing wanted to take her down along with the rest of Twilight Town, so she was damn well going to try it if she couldn't stop this thing from charging up it's attack to even greater heights! Where did the day go so wrong? And a part of her was questioning just what it was that she wasn't doing right... It wasn't supposed to be like this! Not at all! The girl would take ragged breaths.

"This is... My home... I won't let you take it from me! You hear me?! I'll stop you one way or another! You can walk away for all I care, but if you keep this up, I won't stop either!", she'd shout at the tiny being. She had no way of knowing if these words would be understood... Or if it even cared to listen to what she had to say. Was she really going to fail so early on in her life? It was a harrowing thing to think about.

Yuuki began to silently pray for help... Anything would help, that voice from before, it could put a stop this! Or it could give her the power she needed! There had to be something that could be done! A horrible sinking feeling would begin to fill her heart, maybe this really was all futile. But even so, it wasn't in her nature to give up. Wasn't it better to go down resisting to the bitter end? That was what all the Heroes did in their stories. If she walked away now... Was that really going to solve things?

The girl would close her eyes, hoping it was another bad dream. But all she could think about was what was going to happen to everyone she met... To her home, to Riyya. Her eyes would snap out, she felt so damn powerless about all of this! Why couldn't this creature just go away?! The only reason she started fighting it is because it had to take a life, and be a threat to her town! Yuuki would clench her teeth tightly, and grip her hands tightly into fists. She'd never felt this angry before, but who could blame her?

This entire situation was unfair! Why did all of this responsibility have to fall on her shoulders, only for her to fall short of the mark!? No... It wasn't going to help to keep panicking like that, she had to stay calm! Focus, there may be something to that plan of taking all of the damage directly... Maybe, if she closed the distance as the armored being unleashes it's attack? It'd hurt like hell, and there was a possibility she wouldn't live to see another day if she did that, but... What option was there?

It definitely wasn't a choice to let something horrible happen to her little sister... The thoughts racing through her head would finally slow down, and it would leave her in the tense moment of the present. Just like when she first woke up, she was drenched in a cold sweat. This monster could take so much away from her, and all she could think to do was just keep hitting it until that wasn't a possibility anymore! But, would that really work? She had no way of knowing. Maybe she would finally deter it from continuing.

Maybe it was just wishful thinking on her own part.

Riyya ran up to where the action was, noting all of the commotion from the panicked crowds in the area, she scanned frantically, spotting her sister. "Yuuki!" She'd rush in, stumbling a bit in her usual clumsy ways. She smiled at Yuuki and gave her a pat on the shoulder. "You can do it, I believe in you!"

She just gave her sister a goofy grin like nothing was really wrong, mainly because she hadn't had time to take note of the situation, more-so she just didn't really care, she wanted to be there for her sister in a serious situation or a casual one, this was far from different!

With a thumbs up to her sister, she stepped back out of the way... ... Though she was hiding a struggle bat behind her back, she knew her sister wouldn't want her fighting unless the situation was calm...So she'd just have to wait for her chance!

The lightning struck one side of the creature then another right after as if painfully breaking the flesh of its dark twisted little body barely the size of a small child. The first one causing the child like darkness to stumble back the second giving off a explosion of black energy and ooze sludge. Exploding out as one of its arms shot off into the air from the electrical energy. Spiraling through the air before smashing into a nearby wall. Leaving only a black fluid like imprint where it the impact was made as the pulpy like muscle fell to the ground before dissipating into a the oil like sludge entirely. the creature clutching now at the area of the wound where its shoulder was or had once been and now a a little perhaps less then a quarter of its upper body was gone. The hole allowed a little bit of the mist to ooze forth. A few birds flying above slowly falling as the skies slowly turned a violet gradually. The low mist slowly setting in as if the calm before the true storm to calm as a violet fog rolled in around their feet from this little release of power. In the near alleys and streets a strange coughing from those not far could already be heard.

The creature wailed in pain still ever more. Crying as if the child inside was one that was maimed and not the dark creature that stood before them. Its mind racing with broken memories of the last time it had been torn limb from limb in a battle. Not understanding it but only knowing it loathed with a white hate what put it through such pain. The physical pain imposed on his body or the mental and emotional of so many others joys when it pained him as well. Never allowing him to feel like whatever this feeling he once had was. Lost eternally to the idea that cheer and laughter and most things people held onto if not his own were pained and something that must be purged from this wretched existence of life.

It exhaled and blew out massive tears that now hissed when they hit the ground from the heavy concentration of toxins in its body now. Burning the ground bellow as little droplet like indentures for made into the stone like ground bellow. The proximity of challenging it would likely increase the feeling of light headiness now. Giggles would likely be heard in the alleys now complimenting the coughing and wheezing that wasn't far off. The nearby homes and buildings the victims of a little prequel to what was to come. Struggles and clamoring heard in several directions in a mixture of glee laughter and painful breaths being made.

Its dark skin under the suit glowing a bright purple for the moment. Its eyes like bright beams burning through the dark violet color. Yellow and pure like a lighthouse cutting through the darkness they seemed to through the tears and mist still be able to lock onto the woman and her little compatriot that soon arrived. The crying never ceasing nor its attention to flee. Its gaping wound still gripped as it only cried further in its pain brought onto it by these girls and the world around him.

Even after repeated attacks, this tiny armored being refused to go down or drop the charge on it's power... It really was going to wipe out everything at this rate, and there wasn't anything she could do to stop it! And those cries... That was starting to haunt her mind now. And then all of that laughing... This... Who could come up with something this twisted? It really just was a nightmare, right? There was no other explanation, it had to be. Did any of this need to turn out that badly? Maybe it was pointless to think on that.

Riyya suddenly showed up, and her little sister seemed to be oblivious to all of the danger, no... This really wasn't the right time! She'd be at the source of all of this destruction now! Even if by some grace her sister wasn't hurt, she'd still see everything happening to everyone else! Why did she have to be so powerless at such a critical moment?! All of Riyya's attempts at cheering Yuuki up just seemed to send her even further into a panic... Finally, her gaze would settle onto that creature again.

It was going to unleash all of that built up energy soon. Maybe that really was impossible to stop... But maybe there was another way she could save it all. "...Sorry about this.", she'd suddenly state as she rushes right for the tiny armored being with all of the speed she can manage! After that, Yuuki would attempt to tackle it onto the ground, with any luck, the sheer force of the impact would knock the thing out, but if that wasn't the case... She'd just pin it down and grin again.

"You want to take everything out? I meant it when I said you'd have to go through me, so come on! I can take it!", she'd taunt. Taking everything like this was nothing short of crazy, there was even a chance it wouldn't work. But damn it, she still had to try! If all of the damage could be contained to just one thing... That being herself, then that would be perfectly fine with her. She had no idea what it would do to her, she just knew that she didn't care.

This was something she had to do! "Riyya, that one spell you've used before! To form a barrier, I've seen it before! Use it now, but on me and this thing! If we're lucky, then it will seal all of the energy inside, and I'll absorb it!", the girl would shout. This was going to hurt like hell, and it was single handed one of the craziest plans she'd ever come up with. But it could work! This way, the destruction to Twilight Town would be minimal!

"I know you probably don't want to, but there's just no time to come up with anything better, Riyya! So just activate that barrier and hold it for as long as you can! I'll make sure this thing doesn't become a moving target! Afterwards... Heh, you may need to patch me up again!", she'd comment. This really wasn't a plan that her little sister was going to like... But this was the only thing that Yuuki could think of. If she couldn't keep herself safe along with everything else...

Then a sacrifice was the only option, and if her actions alone weren't enough, then Riyya could add a barrier into that mix! It was their last, best hope in this dark situation. Besides, wasn't this something else that Heroes always did? They sacrificed themselves in an otherwise hopeless situation, so that others could still have hope! It was the only way Yuuki could still look herself in the mirror... Because this thing, it wasn't as much of an animal or monster as she originally thought. It was still evil, it still killed, but it was also human somehow.

This way, at least some of the pain it went through would be justified, and she wouldn't feel like such a shit person for being able to do so little... All her mind could do was race with just how crazy this plan was, it was just like diving into that darkness, but refusing to be engulfed so easily... All she could do was go down swinging! Yuuki really needed to get better at this type of stuff... Still, even in the face of what could very well be her death and failure, she continued to grin.

"You want to hate us?", she'd ask the creature she has pinned down. "That's fine by me! I'll take all of that hate for everyone! Do your worst, I can take it all!", she'd state, this time her words sounding less like a taunt and more like she was just prepared to face her fate.... She still had no idea what was going to happen after this moment, but it didn't matter. If her fate was to die... Then she'd go out on her own terms!

It was time for that moment of truth. Hopefully Riyya would see reason and form that barrier. Hopefully this plan of hers would actually work out in some form! Otherwise, this was a lot of show for a spectacular failure... Yuuki was hoping that it really wouldn't turn out like that. Least of all for how silly she'd feel, but mostly in that... Even in sacrificing herself, she wouldn't be able to save everyone. Yuuki had no idea how she was going to deal with something like that, but... It was a possibility, as much as she didn't want to admit it.

So maybe she would need to figure out how she would deal with that.

Yuuki used Untrained ML on Jarvis, by tackling him to the ground and pinning him down! This is an attempt to tank all of the attack he's charged up! 39 damage is on the way!
After that, Yuuki asks Riyya to form a Barrier around her and Jarvis using Protect, so she can further absorb the attack if things go south!

I hate to ruin it, but that's the way it is, it's making both of you upset so it's not worth it. As ylfor you Jarvis, I'm not going to put you on a leash, but you need to dial it down just a little, total genocide in one move is a bit....Too much.
